Calling all mayo men, my cousin is heading over next weekend and fancies doing bit of fishing. I’ve set him up with some gear, but as regards locations, I’m fairly clueless!
Not looking for top secret marks or anything, just a couple of beaches where he will catch a few fish, flounder & turbot will do. I’m sure he will spend more time in the boozer anyway.

Send him to white strand out past Louisburg. He'll get flounder and turbot there with the possibility of other species, too. Its marked on the shore marks section of this site. Send him into Doug in a shore thing in Westport who will set him up for bait and directions. I'd bring him myself, but i'm up to my tonsils at work.

hi alby if he calls into ballina angling centre they will sort him out with any gear bait and info that is needed. a well run tackle shop with any thing a angler would need.

ya im outside ballina alby.got your pm.i was out tonite.bits of weed about and browny water.if the winds stay in a southerly direction it should clear thou shortly.me and tex are out on wednesday.if all is good we would be delighted to take him with us
