Don't go there 
unless you can hit 120yds+ otherwise it's a tackle graveyard.

only took up fishing myself this season and started off in monkstown and still fish there more than anywhere else!at the start i was loosing tackle on the wall like the new time!i find the little jetti sticking out a bit better in terms of snags!
ive fished the pier the most and this is the least snaggy area allthough might not be as productive for fishing but for starting off id try it, its a nice spot to fish aswell.
perhaps start off at the jetti and if you loose ne tackle pack up and head to the pier!the wall can wait until your launching out your leads a fair distance and if you do persist with the wall hold your rod tip high and reel in quick
