we are planing to go spanish point in clare for 3 days we newer fish there before so any help will be great...

when do you plan to go?
you have 6/7 beaches very close to you that can all throw up bass on their day - good flounder are to be had also
if it was the summer time - great sport is to be had for pollack/wrasse off the rocks
distance casting throws up dogs and ray
piers/rock marks can throw up conger

well bring loads of lug - or even better dig some locally
big lug baits take care of the bass - they do show for razor but the lug is easier and covers a greater range of fish
watch yourself on some of those beaches - they are storm beaches - huge surges in and out at times and crazy currents so always set the gear up well back if its a bit windy and theres loads of surf - especially doughmore
i would still think that the dusk/night fishing would be best at that time of the year
