white bay and inch cork

#1 Post by PETERG »

thinking of fishing white bay or inch in the
next couple of weeks, just wondering does
the state of the tide make a difference,
and what bait works well on either of
these two beaches.

thanks peter

hi peter inch can be a bit busy with surfers on the weekends. you can dig a bit of lug there on low tide, mostly flounder and odd bass to be got . As for white bay the walk down to it and back up is a killer.hence the reason i only fished it once.

hi peter i have caught ray and bass in white bay mainly on sandeel and calamari squid but try others aswell razor peeler crab lug. white bay fishes only at night i find the last 2 hours of the incumming tide and 2 hours down best. have caught big bass there one took whole squid just 30 yards of shore and pulled rod out of tripod at around 2 in the morning so no need 2 cast long.inch beach will also produce bass dogfish codling etc.i fish close 2 the rocks on the left handside again best on a incumming night tide.nearly forgot must be a good surf running on both beaches and u might have better luck in the spring and summertime for bass but u never know when that fish of a lifetime might show up tight lines :D
