joe i find here in the west that beaches can fish very well after a gale.i think that the fish move off for a bit to cover and come a shore wen the weathers on the mend to find wats left after the heavy sea and surf on the shore.also try using more shellfish after the storm.

greystones should fish well on sun night if its not too weedy straight out from the arch and if they are about a big cast wont be needed 60 tp 80 yards will get you in to the feeding zone, sometimes even closer

Hi there, I do alot of fishing around greystones/wexford/donegal and have found that fishing just after bad weather does give great results. Casting distance's drop alot too as i have found 15-20 feet on the west coast to be leathal. Sandeels just into the surf can catch great flatties and the occasional Trout.

I am not trying to be funny here, but it always amuses me when people talk about a short cast of 60 to 80 yds. I am a novice and I would be delighted if I could hit 80yds with a cast. Before you say it. I am using a multiplier.
I don't fish to catch fish. I just like using the gear.
If you think I am narky now, you should hear me when I'm in bad humour.
