missing mullet

had some good mullet float fishing in courtown this summer.i.e until on arriving early one sun.morning sept.with great expectations .we witnessed a bloke in a small clinker type boat shooting a long net right across the channel mouth in full view of all. needless to say we blanked. + ihad a few peeps after that day but saw no fish so went elsewhere.we now havethe new 1890 ph. to call if we see any untold fishy business this coming year; apparently we hear this type of activity is common.and mullet have no protection .wonder if by catch of flats trout +bass of course are all released ?/ yea only in ireland. = shameful
