clones strand fishing

hey all am newbie so be nice :) i was thinkin of headin to wexford maybe clones
when roads bit better and would like to know is there any chance of codling
around there? what baits should i use? any tips or addvice would be great as
have only ever caught one fairly small codling from shore in my life :(

every chance.allways give it a go. try mixing lug or crab with shellfish.if the codling are there you'll catch. :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

you will treble your chances if you wait for a decent surf ,plenty of coalies about plenty after dark all along the east coast getting bigger the further south you head :wink:

thanks lads,just have to get myself down there now.
would it be much better to try at night?
and should i be lookin to cast far or in close on clones?
if was fairly flat calm would it be a waste of time there?
