get the car onto the beach/pier. set the rods up right close to it. get the heading on! cant think of any other way of doin it!
its snowing heavily, and laying, here in co.antrim and the moment. was planning a trip this weekend myself but not so sure on the idea right now! doubt it would even be too safe drivin too far.

is anybody actually planning to head out this weekend... even if its snowing.......????!

you'd be the poshest angler on the beach

on very cold nights ive used a cool bag with a small hot water bottle inside to stop the bait freezing, just make sure its not too hot as fish dont like cooked crab and lug  . as its not so hot it will obviously cool quicker so i top it up half ways through the session from a flask i use to make tea

thermo heat pad (for bad backs) strap a few off them around u and rap up and u should be grand.
beach shelter and good gloves to keep your hands worm also helps, also agree with a hip flask :D

all of the above and a harm hat.

for extra heat i put the shelter up and take a small gas camp cooker helps heat area in shelter a wee bit also warms the old hands and loads off coffee and bacon sarnie.

as for the fire i used to take an old rover biscuit tin and put a few fire lighters inside and then i could simply when tin cold chuck it in the bin. no damage to beach or rubbish

hi
big no 1: keep your feet warm and dry (cotton socks +woolen socks ) and keep your boots warm before the use, they have to be 100% dry
2:jeans no good, use something soft cotton rich , avoid polyester
3:for uper body, the same good soft cotton rich t-shirts etc
4:flotation suites good ,or something windproof and breathable
and THE BAD NEWS alcohol is not good  i mean a good bit of it (just simple example u wont feel the cold allright ,but just in the brain ! your toes could be ice hard
good luck and tight lines
