Wicklow fishing marks

#1 Post by Ste »

Hey all, I'm new to the site and although I know people don't like to give away their secrets I'm just wondering if anyone has any good spots?

I know it's getting a bit cold for Baas now, but so far I've been trying various spots up and down the Wicklow coastline and between myself and a few friends all we've caught is flounder, codling, small pollock, rockling, mackrel and dog fish but that's it.

We've caught nothing really worth talking about and try various bait, times and weather conditions.

Guess I'm just looking for some east coast spots that will produce a good catch.
Entries now open for the All Ireland Shore Cod Championships on November 29th hosted by Sea Angling Ireland SAC

I'm in Bray so I've tried Bray north and south beach and harbour. Greystones north and south, kilmichael point, court town, arklow, rosslaire, dalkey that I can think of now.

You've a few decent Marks there bray harbour and greystones are throwing up a few good results lately also killiney beach has seen a few bass. Try different rigs along with different combos of bait .

Greystones has too much weed at the moment, lost 2 rigs there over the weekend. Bray harbour gets a lot of small pollock and a lot of crabs. The dolphins are starting to come pretty close to shore recently too which seems to be scaring off everything. I'll try Killiney this weekend and see how it goes.
