Where for cod in winter?

Could you tell me where I can catch cod on westcoast. I thinking about clare coast.

hi byq44, have fished that coast line for years and i caught my first cod at the weekend in Cork, have never had one along clare, i've fished what looked like obvious spots and other marks that there were rumours about, i think if cod were to come in cappagh pier in kilrush would be a likely spot as there is always a good run of whiting there during the winter,

O. Not good. But I'll try beal point first anyway. It's very cold maybe cod came closer. We'll see.
