Re: advise needed on donegal-northwest beaches
where abouts you near? im heading to Portrush on sat morning with a few mates, it usually fishes well. Benone and Downhill beaches are good.
im sure theres more expert minded people on here who could give you better advice about Donegal etc as i have never fished it.

loads of room a t portrush. weather depending we will try around ramoure head, failing that we usually try the left side of the toilets there at the landsdown carpark, or maybe at the blue pool.rooster76 wrote:Im 5 mins from derry/l.derry,about 35 miles from portrush mate.polmac wrote:where abouts you near? im heading to Portrush on sat morning with a few mates, it usually fishes well. benone would throw up loads of flatties, sea trout, and bass if your lucky. i was at downhill 2 wks ago and had a decent session catching plaice etc at it. we were just using rag worm only on it. fished from half 4 till near 9pm tho it be better to be there from about 3 pm

Re: advise needed on donegal-northwest beaches
Culdaff beach will throw up coalies, flounder and the odd turbot and so will Ballyliffin. I had a decent session at Culdaff a few weeeks back using mackeral strip and ragworm on two/three hook flappers. Shroove beach is also worth a go and is a bit more sheltered if the wind is howling
It ain't easy but it sure is simple!
