I never fished there but it does look like a good spot. Having said that I've never heard of anyone being successfull there.

dnt waist your time,i fished there,no luck at all,tryed evrithing,difrent bites,difrent rigs,distance...bites go of in couple seconds,sounds like there crabs eldorado,try better Myrtlevile(flaties from beach,on tne left hand side for congers) or Rockybay(flaties,bass) or Fountainstown(bass from the beach,codling from the rocks on left hand side)...PETERG wrote:Thinking of fishing loughbeg this weekend at low tide.

i have had success there over the last couple of weeks,
but tomorrow i will be fishing at low tide.

I find the area to be good at low water. A four hour session last two on the drop first two of the flood. I have not fished ringaskiddy in a long time however the deep water berth was always good for me, I don't think you can fish there anymore now but I'm not sure.

when you say you find the area good at low tide do you mean monkstown or ringaskiddy?

I meant Monkstown fishes well two hrs either side of low water.
I can't recall exactly but I think the tides didn't matter too much for the deep water berth in Ringaskiddy.
