Hi, not too sure about the dublin coastline but up here in donegal if we want deep water we just clip on an extra spark plug and cast out an extra few hundred yards

deep water is in short supply around dublin  a rock mark would give you the best chance of fishing deep.the only thing is fishing most of these is a bit dangerous in the wet especialy on your tod :!: what fish are you after?

you could try Dalkey sound either fish it off Colliemore Harbour or the park but you will need 5 or six ounce grip weights to hold bottom cause there is a big run at certain stages of the tide. you could also try the forthy foot, Bug Rock or the back of the top of the east pier in Dun Laoire. ye should be able to pic up a few fish at all of those marks this time of year.

the fourty foot is a no fish zone samo even if some anglers choose to ignore it ,i dont think sending someone there is a good idea not to mention its dam near suicidal under foot :!:

forgot about that so is Bug Rock then. the back of Bullock harbour can throw up the odd fish as well but its pretty snaggy and there is usually a few lobster pots out there as well.
