Ebay.co.uk Frozen bait?

#1 Post by hgibbs8129 »

Has anyone on this forum tried the famous squid/peeler crab combo
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PEELER-CRAB-MAN-S ... 255e542ec6

peeler crab is pretty cheap to. but what if it got delayed, courier charges on frozen item.

It looks like he will only supply to the UK mainland only. Pity, looks like good bait.

Courier to Ireland is 20gbp so it would have to be a big order to be worthwhile, but if it works a big order could do you for winter ;)

and then your big order could turn out to be pure and utter sh1te and your stuck with a freezer load of bait that fish wont eat ,you'd be better off to buy a load of crab and stuff your own squid(which is pretty cheap). that way you know whats in it.

have a look at this fellas items, http://shop.ebay.ie/fishing_bait_for_an ... m=&_ipg=25

then look at his ratings and comments left, its pretty good!!
now do an internet search on his stuff. you wont find a good review.
most comments on ebay are from people who recieve the item and then put up "quick delivery, A1 seller" then a day/week later they try to use the item and its not much good.

Ya, I wouldn't throw away a lot of cash on a whim.
Yer man did saw he could give me a small packet delivered for 2.99gbp and I've queried small, but I reckon it would be 2/3 squid/crab combo's. If I was happy I'd consider bigger orders... we'll see

Good idea on the net reviews never thought of that!

I held off, as advised the on-line reports say it is soft crab not peeler and the crab is not whole, but rather mushed. It seems as effective as normal squid.

Let us know how you get on HG

I will never understand why lads will pay hundreds for rods and reels and cheap out on bait. If you can't get your hands on your own bait find a good reliable supplier and stick with him.

There was a write up about that very stuff on WSF and it I'd total crap. Same guy that sells the lug/crab nuggets etc. Couldn't give it away. But there are some good bait on eBay. Had alot of frozen lug and whole unwashed squid that has caught
