Re: spinning tips
spinners and jellyworms (imitation of sandeel or lug black with red tail) well no harm try any color, works well
for bigger fish and feathers good for smaller ones
also wee fly atached above jellyworm could help you to pick some smaller fellas when fishing is slow
that may helps
best of luck

Re: spinning tips
The Kilty Catcher is a good lure/spinner and is worth a try, colour - silver holographic (scale effect)
It casts well. When retreiving in, vary the speed you bring it in at. Reel slowly then speed up and then slow it down again and so on.

Re: spinning tips
Black jelly worms with red tails work well in alot of situations. Either fished on a jig head or with a 1 foot trace attached to main line with a swivel and a weight running free on the main line. Side winder immitation sand eels are one of my all time favourites too. They work great for the pollack. As the lads said above, a feather type lure (teaser) tied on above the main lure can catch the smaller fish if the big ones aren't taking. Best of luck in the competition.
