Dingle Harbour

#1 Post by Westie »

Hi all,

I'm a bit new to sea fishing but am planning a break in september in Dingle. Read a catch report on this forum saying that the harbour is full of congers.

Onbiously, i wouldn't mind a go at these. Will they still be there in september and if so what is the best bait?

Any help would be great.

Hi,

The Congers appear to be present all the time I think they are resident fish.I have caught them during the middle of a sunny day but darkness gives better results.I have found the best bait to be the head and guts of a fresh Mackerel hooked once through the mouth.Hope this helps.
