jumping fish

#1 Post by finding nemo »

Have seen afew fish jump out of the water the last few days out spinning. They were very close to the rocks and a decent size too. We always assume sea trout but could they be bass or any other fish? seen pollack jump at my orange float but these fish were not pollack.

cheers

Pollack jump and so do mullet. Have heard lots of mullet at the ramparts near dalkey so if you were fishing anywhere near there thats probably what it was.

have seen garfish jump right beside where my lure hits the water, and a few times have seen sandeels jump for no apparent reason,
usualy cast a lure to the spot incase theres a predator about but no joy, seems like the just needed the fresh air:)
