Agree with Tony fella here Rodger
For macro photography it's best to use a tripod as these are a little soft(blurry)
Your D.O.F is spot on in the shots,perhaps a little sharpen will sort them out for yee

i thought tripods where for fishing i also picked a very windy day and had to take shots inbetween gusts of wind i,ll invest in a tripod and give it another lash ,as for settings auto with the macro mode on (i,m only learning )
i used gimp to crop them
