West Cork, Barley Cove Direction!

Hi guys heading down to west cork on saturday with a few guys who dont fish but want to get a few macks and pollack, i usually spin down near barley cove off the rocks but i am going to bring the bait gear as well this time so im looking for a few tips? I have bait sorted just wondering what the area is like eg rocky ground,sand etc. PM's welcome.

courtmacsherry worked for me on an incoming tide, dates etc, i can't remember :(
worth a cast down by the forest walk area.
species 2009, whiting :(, three beard rockling,.shore rockling, 5 beard rockling, flounder, lesser spotted dogfish,bullhuss, dab,bass(13), more whiting : pollock,poorcod,pouting, sea trout(the dodder!)brown trout,sea scorpion,mackerel, silver eel,
topknot:), cod, conger, corkwing wrasse,smooth hound.
