Bass fishing

#1 Post by agardiner22 »

Is there a season to bass fishing from the shore, I heard its only for a month or so but I am confused as new post keep popping up here with tales of their catches.
Always CAR! unless its a pollock...!

2012 species: Pollock, Mack, Coalfish, Gurnard, Bullhuss, Dogfish and Wrasse.
Would do anything for a bass!

It is prohibited to take and kill more than two bass on any one day. (Bye-law No.667) The minimum overall size limit of 40cm allies, from tip of snout to end of tail The closed season runs from 15th May to 15th June.

Hope this helps

he didnt want to know the rules just are the fish to be caught during more than a few months ,the answer is you will get bass from december till january along alot of the coast the bigger fish tend to show from april till oct with different parts of the coast having better fish in different months waterford and kerry would be two good spots for more consistent fishing (you just have to find the blighters)
