Doolin beginner

#1 Post by scotsmarc »

Hi Guys,

I am heading to Doolin this weekend camping and thought i would try my hand at fishing. Heading out later this evening to buy some basic kit. I already have a reel and i am thinking about getting a 9' rod.

Was just wondering is spinning or float fishing better in the area? Also can you recommend bait spinners and or bait that are good for mackerel, Pollack and if i am lucky bass?

I had a look round the site and there seem to be a fair few spots to try in the area what one has been getting the best results?

Thanks a mil for any help :D
