bait stopper

i should know this but i dont - how do you get the bait stopper off the loop of wire metal and onto the line without losing a finger

ive been searching youtube etc. and have to hold my hands up, i cant figure this out

any help greatly appreciated

Tread your line through the loop of wire fold it back on itself and slide the bait stop up onto the line piece of cake really just clip where the line was folded as the wire pinches into it you can get bait stops that are on mono instead of wire less harsh on the snood...

thought that - then the metal wire broke - thought it was the fact i was trying to slide it onto 50lb line - so tried 15lb line to slide it onto the bent line - again the metal wire broke under the pressure - maybe the bait stops are too small for this line?

Probably too small for the 50lb line all right but they should fit the 15lb i'd of thought i've a blast of them if your around town let me know :wink:
