Northern Wexford marks, Wexford, Sunday 25th July 2010

#1 Post by John D »

People:Me and my brother Greg.

Duration:18:00 until 22:00

Tide:Spring tide. Hight at approximately 21:00

Weather:Overcast with the odd sunny spell. Warm. Dry. Light to Moderate breezes.

Bait:

Rigs:Various lures

Results:A couple of launce.

Report:My brother and I thought we had everything on our side for the chance of at least 1 bass. Alas it was not meant to be. There were a good few anglers around. On one hand it's disappointing but on the other hand it's hugely encouraging and positive. To explaine that sentence further, I like to fish with whoever I'm with at an isolated venue, and for two reasons. One is tranquility and the other is more fish for me :) On the flip side when there are other anglers around it is positive for the sport as a whole and there is more chat and information/skills/tactics to be shared and learned. One unusual and more positive thing that happened was my brother and I being approached by two extremely scantily clothed and beautifully figured women only to be asked if they knew of anywhere they could stay around this area? I was kicking myself that I was only down for the day and not staying in the mobile!!!!
Protect the magical sport of sea angling and spread the word that conservation is the way forward. Put fish back!!!!
Entries now open for the All Ireland Shore Cod Championships on November 29th hosted by Sea Angling Ireland SAC

Its called fishing, not catching. If it was called catching it wouldn't be fishing!
