what i do is put a layer of paper into a tray with a little bit of sea water, put in the lug and cover with another bit of paper dampened with sea water and keep them in the fridge. dont overcrowd the worms. i keep about 30 in a cat litter tray but if using tupperware boxes id only put 10ish in.

change the paper daily and remove the dead worms.

frozen mack is good bait but you cant beat the fresh stuff.
a lug tipped with a small sliver of mack is a great bait.

i agree, fresh saltwater change daily, and deffo remove any damaged worms.
i used to keep all dug worms and someone on here pointed out that broken worms will kill off good ones.
now i only keep the broken ones for immediate fishing and keep the good ones in good sea water.
if in newspaper, change paper daily and remove dodgey ones to a seperate pack.
you will see good results doing this. :D
