Wasting your time.

You'd want to go further down the estuary to Ards to get sandeel. If you're standing on the pier there and look to the right you'll see a beach between two points of rock, maybe 300 metres long. Access it via the overgrown laneway just up a bit from the pier. Remember to close the field gates. You want to be looking for them out in front of the old limekiln.

Got a vingler?

Yup, or ground with a hook at the bottom.

Heard from a mate last night that there was a mahoosive shoal of sandeels around the pier in Ards at hw. If they reappear, it should be possible to haul some in with a set of Sabikkis.
