HI ALL
Was looking some advice ive heard that sandeels can be caught at doe castle in donegal was looking for help on what would be the best way to go about it and at what state of tide ect or where i could catch sum OR would i be wasting my time

Wasting your time.
You'd want to go further down the estuary to Ards to get sandeel. If you're standing on the pier there and look to the right you'll see a beach between two points of rock, maybe 300 metres long. Access it via the overgrown laneway just up a bit from the pier. Remember to close the field gates. You want to be looking for them out in front of the old limekiln.
Got a vingler?

Yup, or ground with a hook at the bottom.
Heard from a mate last night that there was a mahoosive shoal of sandeels around the pier in Ards at hw. If they reappear, it should be possible to haul some in with a set of Sabikkis.
