I've fished donabate a heap of times but have never caught a thing! I hear bass can be caught around the rocks at the hotel...but Im still waiting.... A friend caught a mackeral last year spinning from these rocks, thats the only time i saw anything getting caught there. I'd say i've been there about 8-10 times. I gave up and go to wicklow/wexford now which is a shame as donabate is on my doorstep

fished rocks near martello tower Portrane 6-7 times last year, ZILCH, made worse by fact that Terns were diving 20 meters away most times, so could be inept fisherman rather than no fish :?: :?

Have a look at this link, you have to get the conditions right to be in with a chance of fish.
