I know the benifets of rig winders and the wallets are hard to beat, however I'm fond of the wire things you get with freezer/sandwich bags. The thing is I'm out of them and the press in the kitchen is full of plastic bags now. Is it possible to buy these things loose does anybody know? Or is there a substitute around that are as easy to have? I was told before about phone cable and after destroying the hall discovered that either it's a different type of wire or I don't like it as much.
Conor.

Re: Rig Holders
Use the bags for individually bagging mackeral in the freezer, much easier to pull on out for a session during the winter, might be able to get something similar to the wire things in your local craft shop, or you could use thin electrical wire sold in 100m rolls in your local electrical wholesalers
It's all about the fishing

Re: Rig Holders
The dreaded Lidl does the wire garden tags and the rolls of garden wire every so often over the summer.
If you really want to go all recycling you could strip out some old twin-and-earth mains cable, the lighter stuff.
I guess you use the wire to tie the rigs into coils?

Re: Rig Holders
haha i use the tronix rig winders.sure there only 3 yoyos a box and are hard to beat.otherwise id use the grey half inch pipe insulation that plumbers on the pipes.that works well too and is cheap.just cut 3/4 inches and wrap ur rig and hooks on it
vollla simple :lol:and even better when ur boat fishing u can shove ur lead down the centre of the insulation so u will have all ur rig ready to be tied just to the main line.
