Waterford area

#1 Post by alanmcc64 »

Heading down next weekend to the Dungarvan/Clonea area. While I have taken bass off the bottom around Kerry it is my ambition to get one on a lure. I appreciate nobody wants to give out their hotspots, but any info/pm on tides to fish etc from the rocks would be very welcome.

cheers, Alan

Cunnigar seems to be the best spot at the moment. You could also try Bonmahon, Ballydwane or Annestown. I've been lure fishing Bonmahon beach for years with with not much luck but remain eternally optimistic :)

you could try the saleens in tramore waterford..try about an hour after the tide starts to come in and fish till high water..at the moment its also good for sea trout but does produce the bass..you will need directions if not familiar with the place but its definitely worth a shot i promise

beautiful scenery but alas the fishing was a victim of the weather. Weed was a nightmare.
