floating beads
i have been using floating beads on and off for the last 2yrs without much success. ive used small and medium when there is little tide movement on short and long snoods and have had very little in return. at this stage im thinking of binning them. i know of anglers who swear by them so am i doing something wrong. ive been using a stop knot on the snood to lock the bead above the hook. any hints or advice

Re: floating beads
i dont use them a whole lot but when i do i have a stop knot about an inch above the hook with 1 small float bead under it. dont know if it makes a difference or not but at a comp last month i had plain rigs out and got nothin, 1st cast with a floating bead and 2 crab claws i landed a flounder. caught nothin else after that tho so might just have been luck
