Banna Beach / Tralee

#1 Post by Fishless »

Hi Lads

Anyone Fishing Banna Beach in Tralee lately? Ive been there a 4/5 times over the past few weeks with little joy until I got my fist bass there last nite...not a big one about 30 cm so he was returned alive...and i was just delighted to have broke my duck after being fishless for so long. The bass was caught on sandeel, using a 3 hook flapper (sandeel on top, peeler on bottom and coctail of both in the middle).

Anyway im keen to get some bigger / better fish...does anyone have and advice for me? is lug worm a better bait bait than sandeel?

The lads in the tackle shop have been telling me that the beach hasnt been fising well for past few weeks...ive also tried Barrow at the back on Golf club facing Fenit island but got nothing here only doggies and seriously big Spider crabs?
can anyone tell me where is fishing well in the area at the moment? Has anyone been trying Blennerville / Fenit / SPA of Tralee area for Bass?
