howth mackerel

Hi I am have only joined this site today and i was woundering if the mackerel are at balscadden in howth yet. :P
Species 2012: Flounder, Whiting, Dublin Bay Codling, Coalie, 3 Beard Rockling, Shore Rockling, Bass, Dogfish, 5.2lb Starry Smoothhound (PB), Twaite Shad, Thornback Ray 5.8lbs (PB), LSD, Pollock, Ballan Wrasse, Cork Wing Wrasse, 43cm Flounder (PB)

Species 2013: Coalie, East Coast Codling, Smoothounds, And hopefully a back opp to get back fishing soon...

welcome to the site sparky,check out the shore angling reports,and you will see mackerel reports at the top of the page,you will have to make two more posts before the site lets you into that page.

Poolbeg - Ringsend yesterday evening - outgoing tide but nothing happening on feathers.
1 nice sized Mackerel caught on lure N/S at start of pier but not by me :(

jonniginge was that beside the ESB water outlet pipe or down at the lighthouse... The ebs waterpipe is good for mullet and bass.
