Always found the pier to be good on evening tides but be warned if macks about it will be chaos on the pier. Also if you are familar with the cliff walk towards st declan's well ,the cliff has lower ledges to get down and fish for mack and pollack.Word of warning don't attempt to fish here if you are on your own,or don't have a head for heights and especially if its wet as its trechorous.I'm sure plenty other marks around youghal and dungarvan but the west waterford lads woulbe more famaliar with these.

There are spots along the cliff walk but you will be fishing from a height so spinning might be difficult. Avoid this area if its wet as the rocks get very slippery. Helvic pier near Dungarvan is also another easier spot to try.
