Too sunny bright for shore fishing????

Went out on Monday which was an absolute scorcher.
Tried Dunlaoire West Pier first around 1 pm, Tied was beginning to head out, tried a wrasse mark on the inside of the first elbow, not a bite on rag on the float in an hour. Moved our way in stages trying different depths with rag baited feathers on a float and rag on the bottom to the end of the pier, Packed up about 5.30 I had one gobie and two small pollock my bud had one small pollock, of the other 5 or 6 lads on the pier I only saw a guy land one small pollock. At low tied we moved to a mark in Killiney which usually yields a bite a cast but we packed in after a blank there at 8.30.
We had primo rag and tried limpets too, not a sniff.

Is it just too warm or too bright in these shallow waters for the fish to go on the feed? Ive had bad results on sunny days before.

Having the same luck too. 5 of us were out in Poolbeg on Sat and had one whiting all day using rag, crab and squid. Was a scorcher out but put it down to daytime fishing. yesterday went from Killiney dart station to bullock trying every rock mark on route and only 2 small pollack and three greater sandeel two of which were foul hooked. Again prob the warmest day out.

I wouldn`t be fussed on bright sunny days for wrasse fishing unless its very deep water(which there isn`t too much off round here)
a slightly overcast day def fishes better for most fish in my opinion..

shows the difference a bit of depth makes, our guys here are catching conger, huss and rays the last few days!.
