Donegal is the obvious choice. Fahan will produce plenty of Ray. 8)

Buncrana pier fishes well for them and avoids the walk over soft sand but then you have to dodge the macky bashers.

went to leenan pier for an hour last night, one small pollack from the sea wall at the pier, could not fish the pier head with my mackrel bait due to half wits with lidil fishing rods :x so decided to try buncrana pier or fahan beach, my mate and i fished for 2 hours while the tide had just turned and ended up with 2 good rays, 10 dogfish and a couple of small gurnards, will definitly be hitting the pier again this week

fished leenan pier last tuesday, had flounder on prawns, 2 small rays on mackrel strips, 2 massive spipder crabs which gave a better fight than the rays and with in an hour of it getting dark, half a dozen conger the biggest about 4.5 feet just at the pier corner

my favorite set up for the ray is a pully rig baited up with a strip of mack; tipped off with a half a squids head, or two large sandeels, dose the job for me.
as ole rab c said " see me' see the sea' i love the sea me"
right i'am off for a swally!!!!!!! so were's the F***'n purse!!!!!!!
