Bait & Tackle in Sligo Town and Environs

#1 Post by lodore »

Howdy Folks,

Heading off to Sligo for the holidays next weekend, and in exchange for including the mother-in-law, I've bargained some fishing time. So, are there any good bait suppliers in Sligo? Tackle less of an issue, but no harm knowing of a decent shop too. Any info much appreciated.

Also--and this is just being cheeky--I'm hoping to have a crack at the tope. Should someone wish to PM me a good mark, I could let them know know about a cracking spot for undersized pollack in Waterford :D

Cheers,
Lodore

Cant help on the tope front but tackle shops you have 2 house of value in the tesco car park mostly cheap stuff and frozen bait and Barton smiths by the river ( dont know the street name ) Full selection of stuff but rather expensive and ammo frozen bait. Pm me if you want good lug digging spots

Thanks for that Mike; it's much appreciated. It will probably be a bridge too far for the missus if I put a fork into the car, so I'm probably ok for the lug––though thanks very much for the offer! Will put up a report if I get anything substantial ...

Cheers,
Lodore

Thanks for that Brian. Sadly, the bait is pretty overpriced where I am too, so putting the hand in the pocket will be a familiar experience :(
