Hi All
New to this site and a beginer, I have done some fishing but it was a long time ago and the memories are a bit fady!
I recently inherited a 9 foot and a 15 foot beachcaster plus a shakespear reel.
A small fishing bag that contains a few shot weights and 3 ledger weights, about 10 freshwater floats and a single sea float.
My ex brother in law who had the gear seems to have done some pike fishing as there are a few pike related items as well, ive added some pliers and a knife and thats about it.
I have alot of time on my hands and im based in Dungarvan Co Waaterford, so im hoping to do some sea fishing tomorrow and would also love to do some trout angling as well.
have any members any tips on locations, types of fish and general advice on what I need to add to start taking the sport up. Im going to buy a range of hooks, swivels, sea floats etc tomorrow
Cheers

Re: Waterford beach fishing
Your best bet would be to have a chat with your local tackle shops. Visit 2 or 3 before you decide on what to buy.....
Then join a local club and go on a few outing with them.
