ban on bass

Hi all i was reading the star yesterday when i seen an article sayin that the ban on bass was being lifted at 12 o clock 2nite? :shock:
Is this true and if so how??? I thouht the ban was from 15th of may to 15th of june.... bit of help would be great... Cheers

its not true, the dates are still 15th of may to 15th of june inclusive so no bass fishing till 12am on the 16th

red is correct but it does offer a get out of jail card for any unscrupulous anglers caught taking a couple of fish........twas in the paper yer honour.

and how long after that will it take to catch one?

species 2009, whiting :(, three beard rockling,.shore rockling, 5 beard rockling, flounder, lesser spotted dogfish,bullhuss, dab,bass(13), more whiting : pollock,poorcod,pouting, sea trout(the dodder!)brown trout,sea scorpion,mackerel, silver eel,
topknot:), cod, conger, corkwing wrasse,smooth hound.

im off all week, thinking of heading out to fish from 0000 till dawn and maybe an hour with the lures after that. gonna check the conditions first to see if its worth my while.
