BUMP!
so 75 views and no one sends a reply or a pm!!!
so is the pier at moville a waste of time - is it clean ground at distance off it?
is the south pier better than the one in the town?

Re: Moville area
I fished up there last winter around december had coalies and whiting off the pier,i fished shrove beach beside the lighthouse and got all the usual flats .I think there is some decent sea trout fishing all around the shrove area.Shrove is only 5 minutes from moville, there is great mullet in the harbour in moville always see plenty when im up there visiting the in laws. Hope this helps ,digging was a problem for me there as the sand /mud of the foyle was nearly frozen but i was digging at a place before you hit moville i think its called quigleys point.

Re: Moville area
the main pier at moville will give some mack, the southern pier is undoubtly better more so early mornings or with evening high tides, sandeels and mack strip work best, other spots to try are the rocks behind greencastle pier, the beach at kinnogue bay will give mainly turbot, malin head pier is starting to fish well over this last few weeks and the rocks behind culdaff pier are improving
