You're in Mayo so you shouldn't have a problem finding a mark where they are present. Fished up there about 3 weeks ago and ended up with 15 dinner plate sized fish. Fish in daylight, and use fish baits. I used a 3 hook flapper, 2-3 foot snoods with 1/0s and baited with whole sandeel. Fish these on a rolling lead just over the back of the breakers and leave it swing around. If you fish smaller than this, you are going to continually catch the little fellas, you are in Turbot heaven in Mayo, aim for the bigger boys. :D

:D It was the sole purpose of the trip to catch some decent Turbot as opposed to the palm sized fish that inhabit the beaches down here and it paid off handsomely on the day. Thanks in no small part it has to be said by one or two of the locals on here that helped out with the mark and directions etc. Drop Peterw, doggie3131 or Saltydog a PM, they will see you right.
