Monkstown Weed

Hey everybody,

Me and a friend tried fishing in Monkstown Co. Cork after having no luck with mackerel in Fountainstown.
Its the first time we tried fishing from the pier there.
Does anyone know if it is usual to get a lot of weed there?
Or is it just sometimes?
Because it is really a nice place on the pier but getting weedmonsters with each cast is annoying.

only sometimes its bad , but when it is bad it is usually very bad.
for the last 2 or 3 weeks it has been very bad
