North Wexford Beach

#1 Post by davybrown99 »

People:Myself and the young lad

Duration:8pm till 11pm

Tide:high around 7.30pm

Weather:lovely. Bloody freezing though.

Bait:lug

Rigs:flappers

Results:dabs, flounders, dogs, 1 hound.

Brought the young lad to a beach i fished a couple of times. Every time it has produced the goods under the rod tips. Not tonight though, bloody typical. All fish caught 80+metres out. not even a sniff under that. Got 1 nice hound. Lost a serious hound to a snag. Felt like a lump of a fish. Fought like a demon. Thems the breaks though. I'll be back here asap with the good tides this week. Prob better off sticking to Arklow with the young lad. Fish count was 2 dabs 8 flounder 3 dogs and 1 hound. Not bad going. Car said 5 degrees when we got back. Hard to believe it gets so cold when sun goes down.
