shipping/postage usually makes it cheaper to buy your bait local!
i dig all my worms as it is cheaper but very satisfying to get resullts
from fork to fork without any middleman!!
btw i rarely keep a fish, but if you do, it's good to do the whole trip yerself!
buying bait on the net is probably good for retailers or competition organisers.
worthwhile to ship large numbers of worms to justify shipping!
if i knew where ye live i might help for digging.
one hours digging= 3/4 hours fishing!!!! at least!
species 2009, whiting :(, three beard rockling,.shore rockling, 5 beard rockling, flounder, lesser spotted dogfish,bullhuss, dab,bass(13), more whiting : pollock,poorcod,pouting, sea trout(the dodder!)brown trout,sea scorpion,mackerel, silver eel,

I'd be interested in those prices also?

I recently bought red sandeels, prawns and rag from this guy
http://shop.ebay.ie/thecact/m.html?_nkw ... ksid=p4340

Not sure how good they'll be but sure they are meant to last for a year and may come in handy.

m8 you will need to tip the eels with something fresh, preserve rubberises them...may work if reeled in slowly...but never caught anything yet on them on many different marks except crabs of course...

YOU CAN BUY SAND EELS ETC ON EBAY. VACCUM PACKED LAST FOR 2 YEARS UNOPENED. THINK THE SELLER IS FROM CORNWALL. 1.50 FOR 12 OR YOU CAN MAKE AN OFFER. SEEMS GOOD VALUE.

Dave Tilly is spot on for bait. He's doing it years and you don't stay in that game for that length of time unless your bait is top notch and well priced.
