Cover for Raider 18 Fisherman

#1 Post by Stan »

Hi Lads,

The cover on my Raider has ripped badly and I need a new one. Anybody know where I can buy one or get one made up?

Hey Stan,

How bad it the rip? I believe that they are about £400 ish from Raider direct. I recently came accross a company, Ashbourne Cover up. They do signs and covers. I got my boat name off them for €30 quid. I asked about a boat cover and he mentioned that you would need to drop the boat into them for the work. I have no idea of the costs though. If you do inquire, will you let me know as I might need them in the future myself.

Best of luck,

Kev

Thanks. £400 seems very expensive. Will try Ashbourne.

How bad is the rip Stan. I recently came across an Excellent repair tape that might be up to the job. £30 delivered from the UK, but it is used for repairing Ribs and such.... Fantastic stuff. I'll post the name of it this evening.

Hey Stan,

If the tear is not too bad get yourself some Tear Aid "Type A" Make sure it is type A. This stuff is the dogs dangly bits. I must put a report on the stuff.

For best Value, Get yourself the 5 foot roll. You never know when you will need it and if you know anyone with a rib you can always sell it on at a profit

Here is some info from the source http://www.tear-aid.com/

Get it off this company...http://www.repairproducts.co.uk/page27.htm. Their web site seems crap, but the purchase is through Paypal and mine arrived in 2 days.

Let me know how you got on....
