Mak and sandell
Got to louisburgh around 9 and it was a really nice day, we set up and it was looking prommising, there was a slight breeze behind us and the sun was beaming down on us, 2-3 hours past and with the sandwiches gone along with a few cigrattes things were looking down until i seen a big rattle on the tip of my rod, thats when the heart starts beating, struck it and started reeling, didnt no what it was until I seen the sandy back, AAALLRRIITTEE its a turbot and a nice one at that. Not a thing after that but i didnt care i was happy out at my catch.

Re: Louisburgh 3 weeks ago!!
awesome turbot
fished the beach there before , but only ever had a big spider crab off it - looks a good spot tho, fished the little harbour, fishing into the harbour itself - usually good for a few flounder, and doggies and coalies afterdark.
apparently white strand thows up a few turbos as well

Thats a real beauty
....and wasnt it a very considerate fish to wait until you'd finished your lunch? The cheeky little feckers I get always wait for the moment the mug of coffee is at my lips

as you can see the turbot is the same size as Paddy's head which makes it 3 metres long and 158lbs weight . Seriously though I was delighted to see Paddy catch this fish . Hopefully he'll put up a report featuring the lovely 3 beard rockling from last week soon , well done on that too Paddycorbyeire wrote:nice turbot - what lenght was it?
