witch rod is best salt or sandstorm ?????

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

#1 Post by fishermannum1 »

I'm just about to get myself another new rod, i recently got the salt 13' mx and love the rod, so was thinking about getting another one, but also thinking about getting the daiwa sandstorm 13' what i'm looking to find out is
1- is the sandstorm as slim as the salt
2- what is the bite detection like on it

basically witch one is the best rod, sandstorm or salt ?

My mate has a 13 ft sandstorm. It is a great job eecially for distance casting and it looks the business as well. The only problem I can find with it is the very soft tip. In calm weather it is great for bite detection but in a large suft the tip bounces around like a mad person.

I have a 13 ft anyfish 6+ Bait. What a rod- i have it paired up with an sl20. Match made in heaven. The blank and tip is lot stiffer so I find it performs better in a rough surf. It is a bout the same ££ as well. In using both these rods I would honestly recommend the anyfish as I think it is a better all rounder as it can bully fish in a rotten bottom as well. But this is just my opinion mate.

have had a bit of a rethink, typical of me
decided to go for a long rod instead, and then changed my mind again
so i ended up getting a meta lite soarer 12' 8" made by john Holden, multi version.
a very nice rod and cant wait to get out and give it a throw...
