Coleman Powerhouse problems

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

Coleman Powerhouse problems

#1 Post by JAMMYJOEY »

Hi Guy's

I have a problem with my lamp. When it's first used it works perfectly but after a short while the light dim's. It looks like the fuel isn't atomising properly. I can see a small blue flame at each mantel.

Anyone got an idea on how to sort this? There dosen't seem to be any problem with pressure etc.

Cheers

Might be a problem with pressure as the rubber in the pump does go bad after some time.... If you spray the rubber channel with some Lithium grease, you can rule that out. Might be a generator problem which is common, but if it;s working well for a little bit this would rule that out..... I'm thinking pressure or maybe some dodgy fuel

Thanks guys i'll try those to see if it works. I had thought it might be a case of needing to replace something. It's annoying as it works perfectly to start but very soon after becomes very dim. But it never goes out. It just looks like the fuel is dropping out of the mantels.

Cheers again

When it starts Dimming have you tried to pump it again? Will this improve the light. If yes, then I would replace the rubbers in the pump and this will be the cheapest options as well. If your buying parts, a new Generator is always handy. If you buy both off the net you will save a few quid.
