The sale of Wild Irish Salmon

#1 Post by CarlowCelt »

Just a quick post to find out if it is indeed legal to sell Wild Irish Salmon. Link below to a company selling Wild Salmon online. I have also noticed Wild Salmon for sale in howth. The catchment area on the salmon in Howth was I believe "Area 40". Is this Salmon from the North of Ireland?http://kerryfish.com/catalog/index.php/language/en

I presume that it is legal.

The Irish State sells commercial salmon fishing licences so therefore it must be legal to sell wild salmon commercially. If you want to see a government web page that mentions the sale of commercial licences see :

http://www.dcenr.gov.ie/Press+Releases/ ... educed.htm

I was just reading that because our wonderful giving government has just REDUCED, YES REDUCED the licence fees for next year !!!! Aint Recession great :) :(
