The all new Ian Golds Spool Tool

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

The all new Ian Golds Spool Tool

#1 Post by kstaff »

Ladies and Gentlemen may i present the Spool Tool from Ian Golds, based on an idea by our very own Andrew Gormley!

What is it? A solid 1 piece extendable unit which allows you to fill your reels with line from either a spool of line up to half kilo size, or reel to reel line transfer. The beauty of this unit is that you can hold it yourself and don't need anyone else to help. It will work for both Multi and Fixed spool reels ensuring even line lay at the tension you desire. It's so simple it's amazing, also it's light compact and extends to about 3ft.

The main pole has 2 fixed reel seats for reel to reel tline transfer, while the line spool holder at the top can take spools up to half kilo size held in place under the tension of your choice. Flip it over for fixed spool filling and the line always goes on correctly eliminating any possible twisting. I hope I've covered it in the above, they will be available very soon for approx 30 quid and I believe are a must have for every angler and caster alike!

looks savage, like the upside down touch for the egg beaters. which shows andre is thinking of everyone.. i totally disintigrated the berkely one in a accident but we dont ever comment on what happened because- well just because.
