Mahon, Cork at old (black Bridge) Rail line (bass)

#1 Post by brianmurphy »

this area is located on the line walkway in the blackroc/mahon area in cork city. the water is part of lough mahon which is tidal

I heard a number of bass were caught here last summer in august/september last year, i think the bait was 'toby' spinners or black 'redgill rubber sand eel and black/red flying condoms. they were caught on low tide.
Entries now open for the Henry's Tackle Shop All Ireland Shore Smooth Hound Championships on July 18h hosted by Sea Angling Ireland SAC

Hi Brian,
You wouldn't happen to know Phillip Horgan from Mahon Co. Cork ? A very good sea angler. Last I heard he wasn't doing so well.
