Daiwa TDXU

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

Daiwa TDXU

#1 Post by PaddyB »

I recently bought a Daiwa TDXU, which I received yesterday…..Happy days…..not quite :?
It doesn’t seem to fit together. The spigot on the handle section of the rod seems to be too big diameter wise to fit inside the rod section. If the spigot is 4” long, it only slides about 3” in. I didn’t have much time to fiddle with it last night as I was heading out, and I don’t want to force it incase I end up breaking the rod.

Should it be so tight? Has anyone had similar problems with these rods?

i dont know the rod in question , but if it is a spigot joint it's fine it just allows for ware in the joint, if it pushed all the way in it wouldnt be long before you had a rod that was too loose fitting.
dont force the rod together you might not get it apart so handy
